Brazilian Government

The information architecture of a national portal created to bring together content and services from different parts of Brazil's Federal Government.

Organizing the complexity of the Federal Government meant creating clear paths for citizens with very different needs, backgrounds and contexts.

Portal Brasil was conceived as a content hub for the Federal Government, combining material produced by ministries and departments with original content from the portal's editorial team.

Information architecture

I worked on the information architecture of the main pages, including the homepage, sections, internal pages and modules with specific functions.

The challenge was to organize a large volume of institutional information and offer understandable navigation paths for audiences with very different needs.

Portal evolution

The original project was developed in 2013. Over the years, the portal changed in response to shifts in government and institutional strategy.
